Pg. 03:
Right: You might want to replace "Amagimi-sama" with either "Lady Abbess" or "Abbess-sama." See the notes for page 6.
Middle: "It's fine weather outside."

Pg. 04:
Top: "S-someone!" (It's a minor difference, but in English people call for "someone" rather than "anyone."

"Hijiri, who resided on Mount Shigi, fully understood the Buddhist Flying Pot and became a splendid monk."

"Hijiri's death deeply affected his elder sister,"
"And as if to follow him, she took her own life."

I am quite sure the kanji 鉢 is more referring to the traditional alms bowl (patra) used by Buddhist monks to receive food donations. http://www.religionfacts.com/buddhism/things/begging_bowl.htm
So I think it would make more sense to translate 飛鉢 as "The Flying Bowl" (or more literally, "The Flying Patra"). Just my two cents ^^

Also, pg04 - ...fully understood the Buddhist Flying...
Changing it to "fully understood the art of Buddhist Flying..." or "fully mastered the Buddhist Flying..." might sound better.

>> No.57395

>>57393
I know about that and yeah, I see your point. Even though the word means pot, and the object itself is too big for a bowl and have different design(the alms bowl usually doesn't have the circular bevel below it), we're already used to refer to it as a bowl. Besides, lots of eastern porcelain bowl are about that big and looks similar.
Also,hmm... http://patrapassage.com/about/
Patra sounds nice. It makes it sounds less silly. Let's go with that.

>> No.57397

I agree, using "the art of the Buddhist Flying" and "Patra" definitely sounds better. I wanted to change "Flying Pot" to something else, but couldn't think of a better word in this case.

Here ya go. Changed the "pot" to "Patra", and changed that sentence.

Is there anyone who's free enough to edit this?
The QC is pretty much done, but I think the problem will be on the typesetting.

Thanks for a quick edit!
Btw, there's a big "slap" sfx on page 9 that I forgot to translate. Do you think you could edit it in?

lol, that was fucked up. I liked it.

Page 4 uses red fog, page 10 uses crimson mist, and the wiki uses scarlet mist.
So... go with scarlet mist.

-Try to level the RAW to make the black color looks more solid like the pic here.
-Save the edited files with "save for web" menu (if you use photoshop) and save them as PNG-8 using 16 or 32 colors.
-Add http://www.gensokyo.org/ in the credit.

sorry, was a little busy for a while.

I'm using GIMP and, like I mentioned, am pretty new to editing. I'm not exactly sure how to save for web as png-8 or level? Here's the updated credits though.

Get the plugin for it.
>>57272 explain it better.
As for the level go to: Menu > Colors > Level
Then you can adjust it till feels right.

You could also not use GIMP.
I seriously won't recommend it to anyone.

>> No.58004

For levelling, just read the guide here.
http://www.insidescanlation.com/etc/The-Idiots-Guide-to-Editing-Manga/guide/main.html

Unlike in Photoshop, you cannot create an adjustment/leveling layer in GIMP, so remember to duplicate the original layer in case you messed up with your leveling options. Also, save the files in their raw formats (.xcf/.psd) so you can make adjustments later. (Just in case you don't know about it)
